Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the Champions Tour season with a family-team scramble format over two rounds. Team Kuchar emerged victorious ahead of Team Daly and Team Love. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II secured a share of second place.
The winning duo, Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless performance. On Saturday, they carded 15 birdies for a 57, followed by 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at 33-under-par to top the leaderboard.
Teams Daly and Love followed closely at 26-under-par. John Daly and John II impressed with back-to-back rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round of 58, including 14 birdies.
Nelly Korda shines in family format
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and his daughter Izzi tied for fourth with Team Korda at 25-under-par. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only active tour player in the field, teaming up with her father Petr. They posted rounds of 60 and 59 over the weekend.
Bernhard Langer finishes T7
Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, last year’s winners, started with a bogey-free 61 and improved to a 60 on Sunday. Their 23-under-par total placed them tied for seventh, just outside the top ranks in this family-friendly event.
