Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship 2025, Langer finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The family-team event, played in scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the notable participants were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II (T2).

The winning duo, Matt Kuchar—a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion—and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless opening round with 15 birdies. They followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to claim a clear victory.

Teams Daly and Love shared second place at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II impressed with back-to-back rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and added 14 birdies on Sunday to stay in contention.

Nelly Korda shines in family format

Steven Stricker, former Ryder Cup captain, teamed up with his daughter Izzi to finish T4 at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas posted rounds of 60 and 59, showcasing Nelly’s elite skills in the unique team format.

Defending champions Langer fall short

Two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, the defending champions, missed the podium this year. They opened with a bogey-free 61 and improved to a 60 on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par and tied for seventh place on the leaderboard.
