Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The event, which wraps up the Champions Tour season, was played in a two-round scramble format featuring family duos. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason (T7), as well as fan favorite John Daly and his son John II (T2).
Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, dominated the event. They opened with a flawless round of 15 birdies on Saturday and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to secure the win.
Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing tied for second at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II impressed with two rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru started with a 60 (-12) and followed with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.
Nelly Korda shines in family format
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and his daughter Izzi tied for fourth at 25-under-par with Team Korda. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only active female pro in the field, teaming up with her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, showcasing their strong chemistry.
