Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious over Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II shared second place.
The winning duo, Matt Kuchar—a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion—and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless opening round with 15 birdies. They followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to claim the title.
Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son posted back-to-back rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed with 14 birdies on Sunday to secure their share of second place.
Nelly Korda Shines in Fourth Place
Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi to finish tied for fourth at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Korda, featuring two-time major winner and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda and her father Petr. The Kordas opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, making Nelly the only LPGA Tour player in the field.
Bernhard Langer Misses Podium
Defending champions Bernhard Langer and his son Jason started strong with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-10) in the final round. Despite their solid performance, their total of 23-under-par left them tied for seventh, just short of the podium.
