Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship 2025, Langer duo finishes T7

Bernhard Langer and son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar clinching the title ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. The family-team event, played in a two-round scramble format, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for seventh, and fan favorite John Daly with son John II, who tied for second.

Team Kuchar dominates PNC Championship

Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to deliver a dominant performance. They opened with a flawless round featuring 15 birdies and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total of 33-under-par secured a commanding victory.

Team Daly and Team Love shared second place at 26-under-par. John Daly and son John II impressed with consistent 59s on both days, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru posted a 60 on Saturday and followed up with 14 birdies on Sunday to stay in contention.

Nelly Korda and Steven Stricker tie for fourth

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and daughter Izzi finished tied for fourth at 25-under-par, alongside Team Korda. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only female professional in the field, playing with her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday.

Defending champions Langer & son fall short

Germany’s Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters champion, and his son Jason couldn’t repeat their 2024 success. They carded a bogey-free 61 on Saturday and a 60 on Sunday, finishing at 23-under-par for a share of seventh place.
