Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded with Team Kuchar taking the title. The family-team event, played in a scramble format over two rounds, marked the season finale of the PGA Champions Tour. Among the field were Bernhard Langer and his son Jason, who finished tied for seventh, and fan favorite John Daly with his son John II, who tied for second.
Team Kuchar dominates PNC Championship
Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to deliver a stellar performance. On Saturday, they carded a flawless round with 15 birdies, setting the pace at 15-under-par. They followed up with another impressive round on Sunday, adding 14 birdies and two eagles to finish at 33-under-par, securing a clear victory.
Behind them, Team Daly and Team Love shared second place at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son John II posted identical rounds of 59 on both days, featuring nine birdies and two eagles each. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.
Nelly Korda and Steven Stricker tie for fourth
Former Ryder Cup captain Steven Stricker and his daughter Izzi finished tied for fourth at 25-under-par alongside Team Korda. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, the only female professional in the field, played with her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday.
