Team Kuchar wins PNC Championship as Langer duo misses podium

Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.

The 2025 PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, concluded the PGA Champions Tour season with a family team scramble format over two rounds. Team Kuchar emerged victorious, finishing ahead of Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II tied for second place.

Team Kuchar, consisting of 2016 Ryder Cup winner Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron, delivered a flawless first round with 15 birdies. On the final day, they added 14 birdies and two eagles, finishing at an impressive 33-under-par to secure the win.

Trailing behind were Team Daly and Team Love, both finishing at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son posted back-to-back rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III and his son Dru opened with a 60 and followed up with a bogey-free round of 14 birdies on Sunday.

Nelly Korda Shines in Family Format

Former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker teamed up with his daughter Izzi, tying for fourth at 25-under-par with Team Korda. LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, the only female professional in the field, partnered with her father Petr. They opened with a 60 and improved to a 59 on Sunday, showcasing their strong form.

Bernhard Langer Misses Podium Finish

Defending champions Bernhard and Jason Langer started with a bogey-free 61 and improved to a 60 in the final round. Despite their solid performance, their 23-under-par total placed them in a tie for seventh, just outside the top ranks.
