Bernhard Langer and his son Jason played well at the PNC Championship but missed the podium as defending champions.
The PNC Championship, held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Orlando, Florida, marked the season finale of the 2025 PGA Champions Tour. Played in a two-round scramble format, the family-team event saw Team Kuchar emerge victorious over Team Love and Team Daly. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason finished tied for seventh, while fan favorite John Daly and his son John II secured a share of second place.
Team Kuchar dominates with 33-under
Matt Kuchar, a 2016 Ryder Cup winner and multiple Presidents Cup champion, teamed up with his son Cameron to form the winning duo. They opened with a flawless round of 15 birdies on Saturday and followed up with 14 birdies and two eagles on Sunday. Their total score of 33-under-par secured a commanding win at the top of the leaderboard.
Behind them, Team Daly and Team Love both finished at 26-under-par. John Daly and his son delivered two rounds of 59, each featuring nine birdies and two eagles. Davis Love III, the 1997 PGA Champion, and his son Dru started with a 60 (-12) and added 14 birdies on Sunday to match Daly’s score.
Nelly Korda shines with her father
LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda was the only female professional in the field. She partnered with her father Petr, and together they shot rounds of 60 and 59 to finish tied for fourth at 25-under-par. They shared the spot with Team Stricker, consisting of former Ryder Cup captain Steve Stricker and his daughter Izzi.
Team Langer finishes T7
Defending champions Bernhard Langer, a two-time Masters winner, and his son Jason started with a bogey-free 61 (-11) and improved to a 60 (-10) on Sunday. Despite their solid performance, their 23-under-par total placed them in a tie for seventh, just outside the top positions.
