Callaway has released the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially presenting the Chrome Tour Family 2026. With the models Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft, the manufacturer expands its portfolio targeted at ambitious golfers who value tour performance, consistent ball flights, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide availability starting January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the core of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that increases ball speed and adds extra distance. The goal is to provide a consistent performance level across all clubs. This concept is supported by Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which, according to Callaway, enables high, stable ball flight and exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another key element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic development approach where design, manufacturing, and testing are meticulously coordinated. The result is a golf ball that delivers reproducible results and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Tour Performance in Detail
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are 4-piece golf balls clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane Cover that offers a high level of control and feel, especially in short play. The Chrome Tour provides a medium feel and combines low spin in long shots with high spin around the green and high workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a firmer ball feel. It emphasizes control, consistency, and playability, complemented by a construction optimized for maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the new family as a 3-piece golf ball. It remains true to its renowned goal of combining outstanding tour performance with a notably soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, developed for high spin rates in short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft is aimed at players who prefer a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will be sold for 65€ per dozen.
With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway underscores its commitment to providing state-of-the-art golf ball technology for the highest performance demands – differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
