Callaway has released new golf balls in the Chrome Tour Family: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the next generation of its premium golf balls, officially introducing the Chrome Tour Family 2026. The models Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft expand the brand’s portfolio, targeting ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale begins on January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide retail availability starting January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the core of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. The key innovation is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that increases ball speed and adds distance. The goal is to provide consistent performance across all clubs. This concept is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which Callaway says delivers high, stable ball flight and exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another essential component is Precision Technology, representing a holistic development approach where design, manufacturing, and testing are finely tuned. The result is a golf ball that offers reproducible performance and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls and are distinctly positioned in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane Cover that offers exceptional control and feel, especially in short game situations. The Chrome Tour provides a medium feel, combining low spin off the driver with high spin around the greens, and high workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a firmer ball characteristic. Control, consistency, and playability remain priorities, enhanced by a design focused on maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the new family as a 3-piece golf ball. It stays true to its reputation of combining outstanding tour-level performance with a notably soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, engineered for high spin rates in the short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft suits players who prefer a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Positioned in the premium segment, Callaway’s new Chrome Family will retail globally starting January 30, 2026. In Germany, the balls will be priced at €65 per dozen.
With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway reaffirms its commitment to delivering state-of-the-art golf ball technology for the highest performance demands—differentiated by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
