Callaway has launched its new Chrome Tour Family golf balls: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially introducing the Chrome Tour Family 2026. The lineup—including the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft—targets ambitious golfers seeking tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. Pre-sales start January 6 at 3 PM, with global retail availability beginning January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the core of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this advancement is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system that enhances ball speed and distance. The goal is to deliver consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which Callaway claims provides a high, stable ball flight with exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot. Another key element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic development approach aligning design, manufacturing, and testing to create a ball that offers reproducible results and maximum reliability for players.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls positioned firmly within the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane cover that delivers excellent control and feel, especially around the greens. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel, combining low spin on long shots with high spin near the green and high workability.
The Chrome Tour X is aimed at players preferring a firmer ball character. Control, consistency, and playability remain central, complemented by a construction that maximizes performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball, continuing the tradition of combining outstanding tour performance with a particularly soft feel. It also features a urethane cover designed for high spin rates in short game shots and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft targets players who prefer a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Availability
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will retail at €65 per dozen. With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway reinforces its commitment to providing cutting-edge golf ball technology for top performance demands—tailored to different player types but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
