On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially presenting the Chrome Tour Family 2026. With the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models, the manufacturer expands its portfolio specifically for ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6 at 3 PM, with the balls available worldwide from January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the heart of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. The core of this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, which, through an optimized core and layer system, provides increased ball speed and additional distance. The goal is to offer consistent performance across all clubs. This concept is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which Callaway states enables a high, stable ball flight and exceptional consistency in flight and distance with every shot.

The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a slightly firmer ball feel. It emphasizes control, consistency, and playability, enhanced by a construction within the Chrome Family aimed at maximum performance.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball. It remains true to its known objective of delivering outstanding tour performance combined with a particularly soft feel. Callaway uses a urethane cover here as well, developed for high spin rates in short game shots and precise control on approach shots. Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. The balls will be available for €65 per dozen in Germany.
