Callaway has released the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls: Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially presenting the Chrome Tour Family 2026. With the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models, the manufacturer expands its portfolio specifically for ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6th at 3 PM, with worldwide availability from January 30th, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the core of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. The key development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, which, through an optimized core and layer system, increases ball speed and adds distance. The goal is to deliver consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which Callaway claims ensures a high, stable ball flight and exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another essential element is Precision Technology, representing a holistic development approach where design, manufacturing, and testing are meticulously aligned. The result is a golf ball that delivers reproducible outcomes and offers players maximum reliability during play.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls and clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both feature a Precision Tour Urethane cover, providing exceptional control and feel, especially on short shots. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel, combining low spin on long shots with high spin around the green and high workability.
The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a slightly firmer ball characteristic. Control, consistency, and playability remain priorities, reinforced by a construction aimed at maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft completes the family as a 3-piece golf ball. It maintains the brand’s commitment to combining outstanding tour performance with an exceptionally soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, developed for high spin rates on short shots and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft is designed for players who want a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Release
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will retail for €65 per dozen.
With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway emphasizes its commitment to delivering state-of-the-art golf ball technology for the highest performance demands – tailored to different player types but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
