Bryson DeChambeau on Koepka’s Exit and His LIV Golf Future

Bryson DeChambeau discusses his ongoing LIV Golf contract and how Koepka’s departure impacts negotiations.

Brooks Koepka’s exit from the LIV Golf League came as a surprise to many—including Bryson DeChambeau. “I didn’t have that on my bingo card for December 23,” he told Flushing It Golf. Koepka’s departure marks a turning point in the league’s young history. For DeChambeau, it’s both a disruption and an opportunity: “When one door closes, another opens. That’s how I see it.” While Koepka steps away, DeChambeau reflects on his role and future with LIV.

Bryson DeChambeau: Contract Talks Ongoing, No Guarantees

DeChambeau’s current contract runs through the end of 2026, but early extension talks are already underway. “Discussions are happening. It’s confidential, but we’re working on it,” said the two-time major champion. While he remained vague on details, he emphasized the importance of mutual benefit: “It has to make sense for both sides.” The league’s development, structure, and long-term vision are key factors for him. “I want to do this. I want to grow team golf globally. But things need to improve,” he added.

Crushers GC: A LIV Golf Success Story

While other teams face instability, DeChambeau’s Crushers GC are thriving. In 2025, the team not only performed well on the course but also posted strong financials: $20 million in revenue and a positive balance sheet. “We’re not expanding too fast—we’re staying efficient,” he explained. With Paul Casey, Anirban Lahiri, and Charles Howell III returning for 2026, the team’s core remains intact. DeChambeau sees this as proof that his model works—and it strengthens his position in talks with LIV Golf.

On PGA Tour Return: Clear Rules or No Deal

Asked about Koepka’s potential return to the PGA Tour, DeChambeau was cautious. “If it’s by the rules, there should be no exceptions. If there are, it opens the door for others.” While LIV Golf remains his focus, DeChambeau is already thinking beyond the fairway: “I could do YouTube golf—that would be enough for me.”
