Bryson DeChambeau on LIV Future Amid Koepka Exit and Team Success

Bryson DeChambeau discusses his ongoing LIV Golf contract and how Brooks Koepka’s departure impacts negotiations.

Brooks Koepka’s exit from the LIV Golf League came as a surprise to many—including Bryson DeChambeau. “I didn’t have that on my bingo card for December 23,” he told Flushing It Golf. Koepka’s departure marks a significant moment in the league’s young history. For DeChambeau, it’s both a disruption and an opportunity: “When one door closes, another opens. That’s how I see it.” As Koepka steps away, DeChambeau reflects on his own role and future within LIV Golf.

Bryson DeChambeau: Contract Talks in Progress, Future Uncertain

DeChambeau’s current contract runs through the end of 2026, but early extension talks are already underway. “Discussions are ongoing. It’s confidential, but we’re working on it,” said the two-time major champion. While he didn’t reveal specifics, he emphasized the importance of mutual benefit: “It has to make sense for both sides.” The league’s development, structure, and future outlook are key factors for him. “I want to do this. I want to grow team golf globally. But things need to improve,” he added.

Crushers GC: A Model of Stability and Growth

While other teams face instability, DeChambeau’s Crushers GC is thriving. In 2025, they not only performed well on the course but also achieved financial success: $20 million in revenue, a positive balance sheet, and strategic growth. “We’re not expanding too fast; we’re staying efficient,” he explained. With Paul Casey, Anirban Lahiri, and Charles Howell III remaining on the roster through 2026, DeChambeau sees his team as a working model within the league—strengthening his negotiating position with LIV Golf.

On PGA Tour Return: Rules Must Be Clear

Regarding Koepka’s potential return to the PGA Tour, DeChambeau is cautious. “If we’re playing by the rules, there should be no exceptions. Otherwise, it opens the door for others.” While LIV Golf remains his focus, DeChambeau is open to other ventures: “I could do YouTube golf—that would be enough for me.”
