Bernhard Langer vividly recalls his first appearance at the PNC Championship. At the time, his son was still in high school—young, ambitious, and suddenly among the greats. “We had a blast,” Langer says today. “Back then, he had to compete against professional teams—hitting drives and then aiming for the green with an 8-iron, even though he was three over par.” It wasn’t about the score, though. “It was just a wonderful time.” That debut marked the beginning of a cherished tradition for Langer. “I loved this tournament from the moment I was invited.”
