200 players will compete for 35 Asian Tour cards at the Final Stage in Thailand — five Germans are among the hopefuls.
From December 17 to 21, 2025, the Lake View Resort & Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand, will host the Final Stage of the Asian Tour Qualifying School. Over five rounds, 200 players will battle for one of the 35 coveted tour cards for the 2026 season. After the first two rounds, only the top 140 players will advance to rounds three and four. Following 72 holes, another cut will reduce the field to the top 70 and ties for the decisive final round. The top 35 finishers will earn full playing rights on the Asian Tour for 2026.
German players eye breakthrough on Asian Tour
Among the contenders is Marc Hammer, who is transitioning from a season on the DP World Tour. With three top-10 finishes this year, Hammer has demonstrated his ability to compete internationally and now seeks to secure his place on the Asian Tour.
Wolfgang Glawe is another German hopeful, aiming to turn professional through this event. Still registered as an amateur, Glawe brings a strong amateur record with three top-10 finishes in international events this season.
From Pro Golf Tour to Asian Tour?
Nicolas Horder also joins the field, having secured seven top-10 finishes, including a win, on the Pro Golf Tour in 2025. Meanwhile, his sister Chiara Horder is competing at the LET Q-School in Morocco.
Two more Germans, Philipp Katich and Julius Kreutzer, are also in the mix. Katich, a member of the German national team, has six top-10 finishes on the Pro Golf Tour and experience on the Challenge Tour, where he achieved a T4 finish at a home event. Kreutzer brings prior experience from the Asian Development Tour, where he competed in 2024.
While the Asian Tour season came to an end following a thrilling finish to the Saudi Open presented by PIF on Saturday, the new season starts for many in the cauldron of the Qualifying School’s Final Stage, which commences on Wednesday.
