Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers; Vijay Singh returns; Charley Hull to launch YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season beginning February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was a mutual agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil, though Koepka is known as a competitor who thrives on top-level competition, something LIV did not fully provide. He switched to LIV in 2022 mainly because of injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement fund. Questions remain whether he had to pay a buyout or refund part of his guaranteed salary. He remains an owner of the LIV team Smash GC, which recently named Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculation continues about which tours Koepka will appear on next. The DP World Tour would allow immediate play, possibly with penalties, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV event, after lifetime bans by former Commissioner Jay Monahan were softened. Returning to the PGA Tour could benefit both Koepka and the tour itself. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which had not been renewed after 2022.
