When the first tee times of the Farmers Insurance Open are announced, attention turns once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course with its long par-4s, narrow fairways and notorious greens is considered a true test of golf, while the slightly shorter North Course may appear more scorable but also offers no easy shots. This combination results in a high-class field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid and Jeremy Paul are set to compete. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces tough international competition directly on the South Course.

Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to attract early tournament and fan focus.
