Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returning, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more family time. This amicable agreement comes from LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s statement. Koepka is known as a competitor who thrives in high-level contests, a vibe he had less with LIV. His 2022 move to LIV was largely due to injury concerns about his career ending and a chance for a solid retirement fund. It’s unsurprising he skips the last contractual season, though questions remain about buyouts or repayments. He remains the owner of LIV team Smash GC, which has named Talor Gooch as captain.

The main speculation concerns where Koepka will play next: DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible, likely with a penalty? Or PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension from last LIV participation applies, but lifelong bans imposed by former Commissioner Jay Monahan have been softened? There’s no need for vindictiveness since any LIV returnee benefits the PGA Tour’s stronger position. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
