Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants to compete again, Charley Hull to launch a YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League for the 2026 season beginning February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was the official statement from LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka is a competitive type who thrives in high-level contests, which he only partially experienced at LIV. Having joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns about his career’s longevity and securing a retirement fund, his decision to skip the final contract year isn’t surprising, though questions remain about payments or stake in his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation surrounds which tours Koepka will appear on next. He would be immediately eligible for the DP World Tour, possibly subject to a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where a one-year suspension imposed after his last LIV appearance would apply, though previous lifetime bans were significantly softened. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which had lapsed after 2022, indicating his intent to rejoin the players’ ranks.
