Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh aims for a comeback, Charley Hull to launch YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will stay connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family. According to LIV CEO Scott McNeil, this was a friendly agreement. Koepka is known as a competitive athlete who thrives in high-level competition, which he found limited in LIV. He switched primarily for financial security after injury concerns in 2022. Questions remain whether he had to buy out his contract or repay guaranteed money. He remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, which named Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation grows about where Koepka will play next: the DP World Tour, where he is immediately eligible probably subject to a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance after previous lifetime bans were downgraded. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
