Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh ready to compete again, Charley Hull to launch YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This friendly agreement was stated officially by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitive type who ignites under top-level challenges, which was limited at LIV. He switched in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a good retirement fund. The waiver of his final contracted season is thus unsurprising, although questions remain about buyouts or partial repayments. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation continues about which tour Koepka will appear on next. DP World Tour immediately grants eligibility, presumably with a penalty fee. On the PGA Tour, he would serve a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, after lifetime bans were significantly softened by former Commissioner Jay Monahan. Why be vindictive when every LIV returnee benefits the stronger tour? According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka officially applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the playing field.
