As the first tee times are called at the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4 holes, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test of skill, while the slightly shorter North Course appears scorable but offers no easy gifts. This combination ensures a strong field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition right away on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major highlight is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner will tee off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group likely to draw early tournament and fan focus. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already high-caliber field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 17:30 CET and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 CET.
