When the first tee times are announced at the Farmers Insurance Open, attention turns once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens is a true test, while the somewhat shorter North Course appears scorable but also gives no gifts. This mix annually attracts a top-class field and early sporting excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are among the field. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid is already up against strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off on the South Course together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group that is sure to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already strong field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 17:30 CET and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 CET.
