Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers; Vijay Singh wants to compete again; Charley Hull soon launching on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV season starting on February 7 in Riyadh. The five-time major champion will stay connected to the rival circuit but wants more time for family, according to an amicable agreement stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, a competitor who fuels on high-level challenges, was less motivated at LIV and originally switched there in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a substantial retirement payout. Questions remain whether he had to buy out his contract or return part of his guaranteed salary and if he remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, which recently named Talor Gooch as captain.

Much speculation surrounds where Koepka will compete next: the DP World Tour, where he would be immediately eligible—likely with a penalty—or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance. Former lifetime bans by Commissioner Jay Monahan have been significantly eased. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which lapsed after 2022, aiming to rejoin the player pool.
