Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to play again, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the LIV Golf League season 2026 starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family, according to an amicable agreement announced by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. However, Koepka, known for his competitive nature and peak motivation in top-level contests, found less passion with LIV. Originally joining LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement fund, his skipping the last contracted season is not surprising, though questions linger about financial arrangements and his ownership status of the LIV team Smash GC now led by Talor Gooch.

Speculation rises on which fairways Koepka will next appear. Eligible immediately on the DP World Tour, possibly with a penalty, or on the PGA Tour where he serves a one-year suspension following his last LIV event—after previous lifetime bans by former Commissioner Jay Monahan were eased. This key question seems partly answered: ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his inactive PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks.
