The PGA Tour kicks off this week with the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California, hosted by Tiger Woods. Although only Matti Schmid will represent the German-speaking region, the tournament features a star-studded field competing for valuable World Ranking points and a total prize fund of $20 million. Defending champion Ludvig Åberg and world number one Scottie Scheffler will be among the top players, alongside Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, Collin Morikawa, Russell Henley, J.J. Spaun, and more. MagentaTV will broadcast all four days live.
The DP World Tour heads to Nairobi, Kenya for the Magical Kenya Open. This event features several German-speaking players, including successful Düsseldorfer Freddy Schott, along with Marcel Siem, Marcel Schneider, Joel Girrbach, Bernd Wiesberger, and Maximilian Steinlechner, despite the field traditionally being dominated by Kenyan players.
