As the first tee times are called at the Farmers Insurance Open, attention turns once again to Torrey Pines – one of the PGA Tour’s most iconic venues. The demanding South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears more scorable but offers no favors either. This combination creates a high-caliber field and early competitive tension every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid and Jeremy Paul are teeing off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group sure to attract early tournament and fan focus. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already top-class field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 17:30 and on Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 (German time).
