When the first tee times are called at the Farmers Insurance Open, attention once again turns to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem more scorable but offers no gifts either. This combination provides a high-quality field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament kickoff is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all teeing off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition right away on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major storyline is the return of Brooks Koepka to the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off on the South Course alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a group that is likely to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds even more star power to an already elite field, making the Farmers Insurance Open all the more exciting. The tournament broadcast will be available on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 17:30 and Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 (all times in Central European Time).
