As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears scoreable but offers no giveaways. This combination guarantees a high-class field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will be teeing off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off together with Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course—a group likely to draw early tournament and fan attention.
