Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh keen to compete again, Charley Hull launching YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will remain associated with the rival circuit but needs more family time. According to LIV CEO Scott McNeil, this was a mutual agreement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives in top-level contests but showed limited motivation in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement fund. His waiver of the final contracted season is unsurprising though questions about buyouts and his ownership of LIV team Smash GC remain.

Speculation is rife over which tour Koepka will appear on next. He is eligible to play immediately on the DP World Tour, possibly subject to fines, or on the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance, after lifetime bans were softened. This key issue seems partially resolved: ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, which expired after 2022.
