Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at Farmers, Vijay Singh keen to compete again, Charley Hull to launch YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion will remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka is a competitor motivated by high-level contests, which he found limited in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a comfortable retirement fund. Thus, skipping the last contract year is not surprising, though questions remain about buyouts or refunds. He still owns his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation grows on where Koepka will play next—DP World Tour, where he could play immediately possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV appearance. The lifetime bans initially imposed were softened, and a return would benefit the PGA Tour. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, which was not renewed after 2022.
