As the first tee times are announced for the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The demanding South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and infamous greens, serves as a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course appears more scorable but gives no freebies. This combination annually attracts a high-caliber field and early sporting excitement.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will be teeing off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have opportunities for aggressive starts on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition right from the outset on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another big highlight is Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group expected to attract early tournament and fan focus. Koepka’s comeback adds extra star power to an already prestigious field and makes the Farmers Insurance Open even more thrilling. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 (all times in CET).
