As the first tee times are called at the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4 holes, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is known as a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem scorable but also offers no gifts. This mix annually produces a high-caliber field and early sporting excitement.

From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will be competing. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.

Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour

Another major highlight is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner will tee off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a grouping likely to draw early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s return adds extra star power to an already impressive field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more thrilling. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 5:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 PM (all times CET).
