Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Returns to the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was mutually agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on high-level competition, which LIV offered less. He originally joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a comfortable retirement fund. Questions remain whether he had to buy out his contract or refund part of his guaranteed earnings. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch named new captain.

Speculation revolves around where Koepka will play next: DP World Tour where he is immediately eligible, possibly with a fine, or PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV event. Recently, Koepka formally applied to reactivate his PGA Tour membership, according to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach.
