As the first tee times for the Farmers Insurance Open are announced, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course seems scorable but still offers no easy rewards. This mix generates a high-quality field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is especially interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul will tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have a chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces strong international competition on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Return to the PGA Tour
Another major highlight is Brooks Koepka’s comeback on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group sure to attract early attention from fans and tournament observers. Koepka’s return adds additional star power to an already stellar field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more thrilling. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV Thursday and Friday from 6 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm (German time).
