Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Immediately Back on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to return, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the competing circuit but needs more time for family. This was mutually agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s statement. Koepka is a competitive type who thrives in high-level competition, something he somewhat lacked at LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a substantial retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contracted season is not surprising, though questions remain regarding financial settlements or his ownership status with LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation abounds about where Koepka will compete next — the DP World Tour, where he would have immediate playing rights likely paying a fine, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV participation, reduced from lifetime bans initially imposed by former commissioner Jay Monahan. Following ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach’s information, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks after 2022.
