Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager for more, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major champion intends to remain connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for family. This was amicably agreed upon according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives under high-level competition, which he found limited at LIV. In 2022, he joined LIV mainly due to injuries threatening his career’s end and to secure a solid retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contractual season is not surprising, though questions remain about buyout terms or repayments. Koepka remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculation surrounds which tours Koepka will join next: the DP World Tour, where he would immediately be eligible possibly after a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV event, after former Commissioner Jay Monahan reduced lifetime bans. It seems this key question is partially answered: ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reported Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership, which had not extended past 2022.
