Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Returns Immediately to PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh wants to compete again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf League season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was reportedly amicably agreed upon, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka is a competitor motivated by high-level challenges, which LIV had limited for him. He joined LIV in 2022 mainly to secure his retirement fund amid injury concerns, so skipping the final contract year is not surprising, though questions remain about financial terms and his ownership in LIV’s Smash GC team, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation grows about Koepka’s next playing fields: DP World Tour eligibility is immediate, possibly with penalties; PGA Tour return would require serving a one-year suspension after LIV participation, but previous lifetime bans were softened. According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks following his 2022 exit.
