Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns at 62, Charley Hull to launch YouTube channel soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more time for his family. LIV CEO Scott McNeil stated it was an amicable agreement. Koepka is a competitor who thrives in high-level competition, which he found limited in LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 primarily because of injury concerns near the end of his career and to secure a substantial retirement fund. His skipping the last contracted season raises questions about contract buyouts and his ownership status in LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculations abound about where Koepka will next compete — the DP World Tour, presumably with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance despite earlier lifetime bans being eased. This key question seems partly answered. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and be reinstated among the players.
