Membership Renewed, No Ban: Koepka Back on PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh also wants to try again, Charley Hull soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

Expected: Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will stay connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This mutual agreement was stated by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, a competitive type who thrives in top-level contests, was only moderately motivated by LIV. He joined LIV in 2022 thinking his career might be ending due to injury and wanted to secure a solid retirement fund. Thus, skipping the final contract season is not surprising, though questions remain about financial specifics and whether he remains owner of the LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation grows on which tours Koepka will appear next. He is immediately eligible to play on the DP World Tour, possibly with a penalty, or on the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension following his last LIV event after previous lifetime bans were softened. Why hold grudges when every LIV returnee benefits the well-established tour? According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership that was not renewed after 2022.
