Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh eager to compete again, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has opted out of the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. LIV CEO Scott McNeil officially stated they agreed amicably. Koepka, known as a competitor who thrives in high-level contests, was less motivated at LIV. In fact, he switched in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure a solid retirement fund. His skipping the final contract year is thus unsurprising, though questions remain, such as whether he had to buy out or repay some guaranteed earnings, and if he still owns his LIV team Smash GC, now captained by Talor Gooch.

Speculation continues about where Koepka will next appear. The DP World Tour would grant immediate playing rights, possibly with a penalty, or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension since his last LIV start after Jay Monahan reduced lifetime bans. A return to PGA Tour suits all parties, and according to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the playing field.
