Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Returns to PGA Tour Immediately

First start at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This was a mutual agreement according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka is a competitor who thrives on top-level contests, which he found limited at LIV. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injury and to secure a solid retirement fund. It’s not surprising he skipped his last contractual season, though questions remain about possible buyouts or paybacks. Koepka remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which has named Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculation is rife about where Koepka will next compete: the DP World Tour, where he’d be instantly eligible—possibly with a penalty? Or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV event, reduced from an initial lifetime ban. ESPN’s Mark Schlabach reports Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership after it was not renewed post-2022.
