When the first tee times of the Farmers Insurance Open are announced, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course, with its long par-4s, narrow fairways, and notorious greens, is a true test, while the somewhat shorter North Course may appear more scoreable but also offers no giveaways. This mix guarantees a high-quality field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all set to tee off. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the chance for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid will face strong international competition directly on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major highlight is Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour. The multiple major champion will tee off alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa on the South Course – a group that is sure to attract early tournament and fan attention. Koepka’s comeback adds extra star power to an already elite field and makes the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 p.m. CET.
