Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back on the PGA Tour Immediately

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returning to compete, Charley Hull launching on YouTube soon. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner will remain affiliated with the rival circuit but needs more family time, according to LIV CEO Scott McNeil’s official statement. Koepka, a fierce competitor who thrives in top-level contests, was less motivated by LIV events. He initially joined LIV in 2022 due to injury concerns and to secure a substantial retirement fund. His decision not to play the final contract year raises questions about potential buyouts or partial refunding of guaranteed earnings. He remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, with Talor Gooch as the new captain.

Speculation surrounds which tours Koepka will appear on next: the DP World Tour, where he is immediately eligible, possibly with a penalty; or the PGA Tour, where he faces a one-year suspension after his last LIV appearance, now reduced from a lifetime ban. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reinstate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player ranks.
