When the first tee times are announced at the Farmers Insurance Open, all eyes turn once again to Torrey Pines – one of the most iconic venues on the PGA Tour. The challenging South Course with its long par-4 holes, narrow fairways, and notorious greens is a true test, while the slightly shorter North Course may seem more scorable but also offers no gifts. This combination ensures a high-quality field and early sporting excitement every year.
From a German perspective, the tournament start is particularly interesting: Stephan Jäger, Thomas Rosenmüller, Matti Schmid, and Jeremy Paul are all in the field. Jäger and Rosenmüller have the opportunity for an aggressive start on the North Course, while Schmid faces tough international competition right away on the South Course.
Brooks Koepka’s Comeback on the PGA Tour
Another major topic is the comeback of Brooks Koepka on the PGA Tour. The multiple major winner tees off on the South Course alongside Ludvig Åberg and Max Homa – a threesome likely to draw early attention from fans and the tournament alike. Koepka’s return adds additional star power to an already elite field, making the Farmers Insurance Open even more exciting. The tournament will be broadcast on MagentaTV on Thursday and Friday from 18:00 CET and on Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 CET.
