Stephan Jäger fires a flawless 65 to climb 39 spots into a tie for 6th heading into the final round at the Farmers Insurance Open.
The Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California, remains highly competitive. At the top of the leaderboard, 45-year-old American Justin Rose holds his lead despite setbacks on the back nine during the third round.
Rose Maintains Lead Despite Challenges on Back Nine
Rose impressed with four birdies on the front nine but struggled on the back nine with three bogeys. Additional birdies on the second half led to a 68 score, which was short of his 62 on Thursday and 65 on Friday. Still, Rose leads by six strokes at 21 under par.
American Joel Dahmen follows closely, posting a strong 68 to climb to solo second at 15 under par. Close behind are two Asian players tied for third at 13 under par: Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune and South Korea’s Si Woo Kim.
Both Hisatsune and Kim competed on the South Course on day three. Hisatsune balanced two bogeys with three birdies on the front nine and went bogey-free on the back nine, adding three more birdies for a 68. Kim carded a 69 despite a double bogey on hole 12, finishing with seven birdies and two bogeys for three under par.
