The Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California continues to deliver excitement. At the top, 45-year-old American Justin Rose remains in the lead despite some setbacks on the back nine in the third round.
Rose Maintains Lead Despite Back Nine Struggles
Rose shined with four birdies on the front nine but faltered with three bogeys on the back nine. Three additional birdies in the latter half resulted in a solid 68 for the round. Despite not matching his 62 on Thursday and 65 on Friday, Rose holds a six-stroke lead atop the leaderboard at 21 under par.
Following Rose is American Joel Dahmen, who also posted a strong 68 in the third round, moving up one spot to solo second at 15 under par. Close behind at 13 under are two Asian players: Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune and Korea’s Si Woo Kim, tied for third.

Both Hisatsune and Kim faced challenges on the South Course of the California venue on day three. Hisatsune balanced two bogeys with three birdies on the front nine and remained bogey-free on the back nine with three birdies, shooting 68. Kim finished with a 69 after a double bogey on hole 12 but made seven birdies and two bogeys, ending three under par for the day.
PGA Tour: Jäger’s Strong Comeback and Leap Forward
German Stephan Jäger rebounded impressively after a 75 on day two. Remaining flawless on Saturday, he carded seven birdies for a strong 65, jumping 39 places to a tie for sixth going into the final round.
Brooks Koepka, making his PGA Tour comeback from LIV Golf, posted a mediocre round on Saturday, sitting tied 61st at one over par. Matti Schmid made the cut but improved only 15 spots to tie for 30th after a 70.
