Membership Renewed, No Suspension: Koepka Back Immediately on PGA Tour

First start already at the Farmers, Vijay Singh returns, and Charley Hull is soon on YouTube. The Back Nine.

As expected, Brooks Koepka has officially withdrawn from the 2026 LIV Golf season starting February 7 in Riyadh; the five-time major winner remains connected to the rival circuit but needs more family time. This amicable agreement was officially announced by LIV CEO Scott McNeil. Koepka, a true competitor, thrives in high-level competition, something LIV didn’t fully provide. Having joined LIV in 2022 mainly due to injury concerns and to secure his financial future, it is no surprise he chose not to play his final contracted season, though questions remain about potential buyouts or paybacks. At 35, he remains owner of LIV team Smash GC, which appointed Talor Gooch as captain.

Speculations focus on which tour Koepka will next play. He could join the DP World Tour immediately, possibly paying a penalty, or return to the PGA Tour where he faces a one-year suspension from his last LIV appearance, after previous lifetime bans were softened. According to ESPN journalist Mark Schlabach, Koepka formally applied last Friday to reactivate his PGA Tour membership and rejoin the player pool.
